Why Elementor is the Perfect Plugin for WordPress Marketers

http://ift.tt/2lS9Lz9

Note – this is a sponsored post from Elementor. While the general concept is sponsored, the words are my own because, well, I really do like Elementor.

If you want to be successful in marketing, you need the ability to act fast, right? That way, you can quickly test new ideas and pounce on time-sensitive opportunities.

For example, being able to act fast lets you roll out a landing page in time for a major news event. Or it lets you quickly change up copy and buttons without needing to create a whole new ticket for your dev team. It helps you market better.

How does that little diatribe connect to Elementor and marketing? Because Elementor lets marketers roll out landing pages fast. I’m talking within minutes instead of hours.

In this post, I’ll dig into some of the ways that marketers can benefit from the Elementor page builder. If you’d like to see some more general thoughts on Elementor, check out my Elementor review from a few months ago.

How Can Marketers Benefit from Elementor?

Let’s start at the beginning. Elementor is a visual page builder. That means you can build and edit detailed landing pages (as well as other posts/pages), even if you don’t know any code. Because let’s face it, while marketers probably should know how to code, there’s only so much one person can learn.

But visual page builders aren’t that rare anymore. So why, specifically, is Elementor good for marketers?

First off, it’s packed with pre-designed landing page templates. So instead of needing to whip up a landing page from scratch each time you want to test a new concept, you can import a conversion-ready design and just tweak it for your brand. Some copy here, a few product images there, and you’re off to the races.

Even in the free version of Elementor, you get heaps of landing page templates. And if you upgrade to Elementor Pro, you get access to even more premium templates.

And once you create a landing page you like, you can save it as your own template. Then you’re ready to quickly roll it out across multiple pages.

For example, want to tweak one landing page style for different traffic sources? It’s easy with templates. You can quickly roll out the same style page for traffic from:

  • Facebook
  • Google
  • Private ads
  • Etc.

Personalization is the name of the game, and Elementor makes it easy to crank out personalized landing pages for different sources.

And because you’re basing your designs on the same sets of templates and elements, it’s also easy to ensure brand consistency. You can save layouts or partial layouts that already have your brand’s exact colors. Then, you just need to import them and edit as needed.

Finally, and perhaps best of all, these designs are all readily available in WordPress. No need to integrate a third-party landing page creator.

Pro tip – if your theme doesn’t have a blank template, you can use the Elementor Page Templator third-party plugin to get a blank canvas. It’s what I used for my examples below.

Other Features Marketers Will Love

Beyond the broad strokes I outlined above, Elementor also has the nitty-gritty details to make marketers happy.

Forms That Connect With Your Favorite Email Marketing Service

Before I talk about the integrations, I want to say that Elementor’s form element is a great piece of work. It lets you visually build forms directly in your pages. No more using an external form builder, pasting in the shortcode, and crossing your fingers that the end result looks ok.

But in addition to a much nicer form creation experience, Elementor also helps you easily hook up your forms to external email marketing services using Zapier webhooks. That includes major email marketing services like Mailchimp, Mautic, GetResponse, and more.

So you can, for example, quickly set up an opt-in form that connects to a Zapier webhook…all without leaving the visual page builder interface.

Mobile Editing

If you’re a marketer, I’m sure you’ve been paying attention to the massive growth of mobile traffic.

Elementor has been paying attention too. That’s why they give you a few different options for handling mobile designs:

First, you can edit your designs as a mobile visitor would see them. That means no need to constantly double check responsiveness – you can instantly see how your design looks on all devices:

Second, you can choose to hide some elements from certain devices. So if you love an image on desktop, but want to simplify your landing page by removing it on mobile, that’s totally possible:

And finally, you can also go further and set different fonts, font sizes, alignments, ordering, and margins/padding depending on the specific device your reader is using. And you can even size your elements differently for each device. Remember – Elementor is responsive by default. It just includes all these features to give you even more control if you want it.

You need your pages to look great on all devices and Elementor gives you the tools you need to make that happen.

Eye-Catching Call to Actions

I don’t need to tell you how important your call to actions are. They’re what move your readers to actually…act. They’re essential.

Elementor lets you create eye-catching call to action areas. And if you want to try out new things, you can quickly tweak copy and colors:

You can also add animation to draw readers attention, though you don’t want to abuse this feature.

Media Rich, Dynamic Content

As a marketer, you probably also know that bounce rate and time on site can affect your site’s rankings, not to mention your visitors’ user experience.

Elementor gives you all the tools you need to captivate your visitors and boost your time on site. Easily add multimedia like images and videos. Then mix it up with toggles, animations, and lots more.

Basically, Elementor gives you control over everything on your page so that you can present it in the way that best engages your visitors.

Wrapping Things Up

If Elementor added easy A/B testing, I’d be in heaven. But even without it, I think Elementor is a great tool for any online marketer. If you have a dedicated design and code team who can rapidly push out every change you want to make, congratulations!

For the rest of us, tools like Elementor are essential to be able to quickly build, modify, and deploy new landing pages (or any other pages). Without tools like Elementor, you’d be stuck waiting on developers to push out new code changes. With Elementor, you’re fully in control over your site.

If you want to try out Elementor for free, you can check out the version listed at wordpress.org.

Otherwise, you can go straight to Elementor Pro to unlock all of the features.
